The biggest failure in Indian cinema history is this film. The movie, which had a budget of almost Rs 700 crore, made…
December 5, 2025 is the release date for Pushpa 2: The Rule. The film’s tickets, which range from Rs 400 to Rs 1600, are currently on sale at multiplexes in locations including Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Delhi, and Mumbai.
The cheapest events are booked for late-night and early-morning hours. Single-screen cinemas have recently increased ticket rates by Rs 500 to Rs 1000 in a number of regions. Such exorbitant ticket costs have been observed before. Another mega-budget movie that created a lot of buzz among viewers and fans in 2023 followed a similar pattern.
For the movie, advance sales caused ticket prices to skyrocket to between Rs 2500 and Rs 3000. Nevertheless, the film did not do well at the box office in spite of the hype. Despite having a whopping budget of Rs 700 crore, the movie only made Rs 350 crore, making it Bollywood’s greatest failure. Prabhas played the main character, while Saif Ali Khan played the main antagonist.
The danger associated with such costly films is the difficulty of recouping their massive expenditures. The film we are discussing was released in many languages and is a pan-India production. Prabhas portrayed Ram in this Ramayana-based movie, while Saif Ali Khan portrayed Ravana. Sita was portrayed by Kriti Sanon. Om Raut directed the movie.
Adipurush was critically planned and various demands were made to boycott it. Manoj Muntashir and Om Raut were singled out for offending religious feelings. Om vanished from the public spotlight for almost a month as a result of this.
Adipurush wasn’t the first bad movie that Prabhas did. Radhe Shyam, in which he costarred with Pooja Hegde, had previously held the record for the largest failure film in India.
