Mohini Dey’s Alleged Role in AR Rahman and Saira Banu’s Divorce: Lawyer Reveals Shocking Details

This is what Saira Banu and AR Rahman’s attorney had to say about the music legend’s alleged relationship with bassist Mohini Dey.

After 29 years of marriage, Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman and his wife, Saira Banu, startled fans on Tuesday night, November 19, by announcing their separation. The renowned bassist Mohini Dey, who has worked with AR Rahman on several projects, also disclosed her divorce from spouse Mark Hartsuch on the same day.

Online conjecture over a potential link between the two divorces was triggered by the timing of the two announcements. Rumors of a connection between the two have surfaced as an additional aspect.

Vandana Shah, the lawyer for Rahman and Saira, quickly denied the rumors. She told Republic TV, “There is absolutely no relationship. This choice was made independently by Saira and Mr. Rahman. She said that “significant emotional strain” in Rahman and Saira’s relationship was the reason for their highly personal choice to split.

Mohini Dey, a 29-year-old bassist from Kolkata, is well-known for her part in Wind of Change by Gaan Bangla. She has shared the stage with Rahman in more than 40 performances throughout the globe.

She asked for respect for their privacy and emphasized that their choice to split up was a mutual one in their joint Instagram post. “Please respect our privacy and treat us with positivity in order to honor the decision we have made. “No judgments would be appreciated,” she said.

Shortly after the divorce news broke, Rahman, who is renowned for his literary flair, sent an emotional statement on Twitter. “We had wanted to make it to the big thirty, but everything appears to have an end. As we navigate this delicate phase, we appreciate your generosity and your consideration for our privacy,” he added.

Vandana Shah further stated that Rahman and Saira’s breakup was amicable and that there were no financial issues at play. “This decision was not made lightly, and both of them are very sincere,” she stated.

Rahman and Dey’s attorneys have flatly rejected any link between the two divorces, despite the online commotion. Although the coincidence timing may have sparked speculation, those connected to both parties advise supporters to accept their choices during this trying period and refrain from making snap judgments.
