Australia vs. India LIVE Score: Mitchell Marsh’s dismissal of Dhruv Jurel for 11 gave Australia yet another breakthrough.
KL Rahul Dismissal Controversy
KL There has been a lot of debate around Rahul’s dismissal during the first Test match between Australia and India in Perth. Rahul was batting at 26 after 74 balls when Mitchell Starc hit a ball that seemed to go near his bat and was caught by wicketkeeper Alex Carey. At first, the on-field umpire declared it not out. On review, though, the third umpire reversed the ruling, pointing to UltraEdge’s spike as proof of an edge even though the bat seemed to strike the pad at the same time.
Expert says
Fans and experts are debating this judgment, with many doubting the veracity of the data used to reverse the on-field ruling. Aakash Chopra, Robin Uthappa, and Ravi Shastri are among the former Indian cricket players who have voiced their dissatisfaction, calling the umpiring “piss poor” and “ridiculous.”

On-field umpire’s decision not-out. Was there conclusive evidence to overturn the decision? Bat hit the pad for sure…visible confirmation…then why not two spikes on the Ultra-Edge? Ridiculous umpiring from the box…

Wassim Jafar:
Third umpire asked for another angle which wasn't provided. I'd assume he'd only ask for another angle if he wasn't sure. Then if he wasn't sure, why did he overturn the on field not out call? Poor use of technology and proper protocol not followed. KL hard done by. #AUSvIND
