The Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 mega auction is scheduled to take place on November 24 and 25 at the Abady Al-Johar Arena in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), led by Virat Kohli, are gearing up to make strategic moves during this event.

- Captaincy Considerations: With leadership being a focal point, RCB is exploring options to bolster their captaincy. Potential targets include experienced players like KL Rahul, Rishabh Pant, and Shreyas Iyer, who could bring strategic depth to the squad.

According to batting coach Dinesh Karthik, who was a prominent member of the RCB until last year, “the jeopardy involved makes the auction such an interesting and unpredictable place.”
With INR 83 CR in the bank and three Right to Match cards—which can be used on either three capped players or one uncapped and two capped players—RCB will enter the IPL 2025 super auction having retained three.
Additionally, eight of the 22 spots that RCB will offer up for sale are set aside for players from abroad.
