Delhi, New Delhi: At the IPL 2025 Mega Auction, the Kolkata Knight Riders paid Rs 23.75 crore to recruit Madhya Pradesh all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer. He was already released by KKR before to the auction.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and KKR entered a bidding battle, but the Bengaluru-based team withdrew after the price surpassed 23.50 crore.

IPL 2024 winners During the first day of the IPL 2025 Mega Auction on Sunday, the Kolkata Knight Riders brought home all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer for an incredible Rs 23.75 crore. Quinton de Kock was a steal for the Kolkata Knight Riders, who paid 3.60 crore for him. For a basic fee of two crore, they also signed an Afghanistan wicketkeeper batsman. For barely Rs 3 crore, KKR was able to regain Angkrish Raghuvanshi.
