Malaika Arora has converted a quaint 90-year-old Portuguese cottage into an opulent eating establishment in Bandra. On December 3, the eatery known as Scarlett House is scheduled to open to the public.
This is the first time Malaika and her son Arhaan Khan have worked together on a project. The facility, which is 2,500 square feet in size, creates a genuinely unique experience by fusing modern design with historical classic components.
“It all started with the germ of an idea about building the next coolest café,” Malaika Arora said in an interview with Architectural Digest India. “It was love at first sight with the first site we visited.” We were captivated by the allure of this charming crimson Portuguese treasure among Bandra’s narrow streets; both aesthetically and emotionally, it was ideal for us. It goes without saying that the name Scarlett House was inspired by this building.

Arjun acknowledged that he is currently single during the promotion of his most recent movie, Singham Again, after breakup rumors had been going around for months. The pair formally announced their romance in 2019 after starting dating in 2018.
Malaika also had a devastating personal loss earlier this year when her stepfather, Anil Mehta, died by suicide in September after falling from the sixth storey of his Mumbai home.
During the funeral, Joyce Polycarp, her mother, was clearly inconsolable. Following the tragedy, Arbaaz Khan, Malaika’s ex-husband, was the first to show up to her parents’ house in a heartfelt show of solidarity.
