The box office receipts for Pushpa 2 Day 1: Pushpa 2: The Rule, starring Sukumar and Allu Arjun, is on track to become the largest Indian film to debut at the box office. The movie has a great start and might surpass films like Jawan and Kalki 2898 AD.

At 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sacnilk.com reports that the movie has made about ₹32.53 crore India net on its first day in all languages. According to a tweet from Prathyangira Cinemas, the movie has made $3.2 million in the US from only preview sales.

“Pushpa 2: The Rule has officially rewritten history, crossing a staggering 3 million tickets in advance sales, the highest ever in India,” stated Ashish Saksena, COO, Cinemas, BookMyShow. The excitement around this film is evident as moviegoers swarm theaters on this thrilling launch day.

This is a historic moment for Indian film, demonstrating its inexorable expansion and laying the groundwork for an incredible year-end celebration, in addition to being a record-breaking milestone for Pushpa 2: The Rule. The movie, which is already a Pan-India hit, is certain to break box office records and set a new standard for cinema.

With ₹223 crore on Day 1, RRR is the highest opener in Indian film ever. Baahubali and Kalki 2898 AD came in second and third, respectively, with ₹217 crore and ₹175 crore. A number of industry experts are estimating that Pushpa 2 would cost up to ₹250 crore.

Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil will return to their roles as Pushpa Raj, Srivalli, and Bhanwar Singh Shekawat in the Sukumar-directed movie, which is produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media. The film’s star, Allu Arjun, won a National Film Award for his role in the opening segment.

Sukumar’s first segment of Pushpa included power struggles against the backdrop of smuggling red sandalwood.
