“In my 22 years, I have completed about 67 projects, but the industry is a very unstable place,” he remarked. You may be doing your job as an actor, receiving accolades, and acting well, but for other reasons you may not be able to get employment. After the Ganpat song went viral and I received honors for Shootout At Lokhandwala in 2007, I expected a lot more proposals, but I didn’t receive any. After the film’s popularity, I sat at home for 14 or 15 months. It wasn’t until about 2009 that I made the decision to become financially independent rather than entirely rely on this.

I didn’t want to be in a position where your future was determined by a lobby. Because they had power, someone may coerce you into doing anything.
