Wolverine and Deadpool had a successful year in 2024. The two produced several successful comic series and miniseries in addition to a hugely popular film. In 2025, the pair will reunite with Cable and a few other X-Men to battle Doctor Doom as Weapon X-Men.
The new series, which is based on the One World Under Doom event, will position the team as a deadly solution to deadly issues. In addition to Cable, Deadpool, and Wolverine, the squad will also consist of Chamber and Thunderbird. Weapon X-Men will do the job when an enemy stronghold has to be taken. They go inside Latveria on their first mission, of course, to try to free the Mutants who are being held hostage. For the new crew, it will undoubtedly be a trial by fire.

The creative team for Weapon X-Men described
Joe Casey is the creator of the new series. Favored for his stints on Cable and X-Men, Casey returns to the franchise with Weapon X-Men. Chris Cross will collaborate with him to create the artwork for the next X-Title.
“I knew this series was going to be big when I pitched it more than a year ago,” Casey said. However, it has been much more enjoyable than I could have imagined to write a brand-new, elite super-team of elite, marquee mutants as they battle some of the most recognizable villains in the contemporary Marvel Universe. You don’t want to miss it if, like me, you’ve always appreciated the Marvel Universe’s vast scope. Weapon X-Men is going to be classic, scary, and surprising all at once!
